Fund Collection with a blog widget

Now you don't need to put a "Buy Me A Drink" script anymore in your blog. If you are not familar with PHP (Wordpress) or HTML (Blogger), trying to include a script can get pretty messy!

With ChipIn , you can easily include a widget into your blog for fund raising purposes! See mine on the right of the blog - which I did in under 10 minutes. These are the steps to getting one :-

  1. Sign Up
They will send you an email for email confirmation, which you must confirm within 48 hours

  2. Create A Chip In
Here, you state the reason for your fund raising, amount and your target date

  3. Create A Widget
With the Chip In, you can create a widget - you can place a title, reason, select a size and even the colour of the widget. Choose the type of blog you'd be placing it in and they have the full information on how to place the widget in your blog.

You will be asked to provide a Paypal account to receive the money.

Another company that helps your raise money on the web is Firstgiving.com. Firstgiving is a website that helps anyone create a free personalized fundraising page for any non-profit registered with GuideStar. After you create your page you can market it via your blog or social networking site (MySpace, Facebook, etc) with a widget or a fundraising badge. Its a great way to mobilize your online network for a cause that you are passionate about.
